A scorched 'Sunburst' Apple bowl with 2 distinct finishes inside and out. Externally the bowl was scorched from the top lip downwards, stopping before hitting the foot, and the general finish is matt and 'rough' to increase its tactile attraction.

Internally, the scorching was done from the centre, outwards toward the lip but stopping short of the lip to let the grain shine through. In terms of the internal finish, it has been sanded to 600 grit, very finely, and buffed to a high sheen.

The large flat base ensures it sits comfortably and stably on any flat surface.
